Moon in the Bucket is a contemporary re-telling of the popular Japanese Noh play, Matsukaze, in which the ghosts of two sisters inhabit a pine tree. Performed by two dancers, one soprano, three voices, koto, oboe, harmonium and percussion. This production includes Ken Cerniglia (Director) and Christy Fisher (Choreographer), Linda Strandberg (Soprano), Dean Moore (percussion), Elizabeth Falconer (Koto), and Garrett Fisher (Indian harmonium).
The opera was originally produced in 1997 in collaboration with choreographer AC Petersen.
