 Fisher's music combines pop, classical, and such influences as Indian and Japanese musical traditions and is written for such instruments as harmonium, koto, gongs, vocalists, as well as recorded rhythms and electric guitar. His “operas” are haunting, intuitive, driving, and mathematical, sometimes narrative and at other points abstract; they blend raga-like improvisation with masks, movement, acting, and words. |
